The VTSU Johnson Women's Soccer team welcomes Sadie Baranyay to the program for the upcoming 2024-25 season. During her time at Peoples Academy, the striker specialist was no stranger to success, being named to the D3 All-State Team, VSCA Senior Classic All-State, and First-Team Capital League. Planning to major in Elementary Education, Baranyay brings with her to Johnson a level of dedication on and off the pitch.
Coach Norm Peterson expresses his enthusiasm, "It is with great excitement that we get to announce that Sadie Baranyay is joining the Johnson Women's soccer team in the fall of 2025! Sadie will be studying Elementary Education at Johnson – she is a great teammate, hardworking and a positive person. Sadie has played multiple positions in her time at Peoples – she is willing to do what it takes to help the team. A multi-sport athlete, Sadie has been a senior all-star in soccer and basketball while also medaling in the state track and field championships. I feel like Sadie has a lot of room grow into a force for our program and I am beyond excited to work with her. Today is a great day to be a Badger!"
