Johnson Cruises Past Paul Smith’s in Women’s Home Opener

The Women's Soccer team claimed the win in their home opener against Paul Smith's College, defeating the Bobcats 8-0.

SUMMARY

The Johnson Badgers put on a clinic at home Sunday afternoon, showing an enthusiastic hometown crowd what to expect this season. Johnson wasted no time in starting the show, as Jenna Johnson claimed the team's first goal just 59 seconds into the first half. The opening half saw the Badgers not let more than 11 minutes pass without adding to their tally, securing a 5-0 lead at halftime thanks to additional goals by Olivia Davis, Moriah Stefanik, Leighton Fenyus, and Elizabeth Love.

The Badgers continued to spread the wealth in the second half, finding goals from Peyton Fairchild less than three minutes into the period, followed by two from teammates Anna Fiarweather and Ida Eames. The Badgers would be up 8-0 as the clock struck zero, their largest win differential in two years.
