CASTLETON, Vt. - The Johnson women's tennis team were competitive throughout but fell 9-0 at Castleton State College on Saturday in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) East Division action. The Badgers are now 1-4, 1-2 NEAC while Castleton stands at 3-3, 2-0 NEAC.
Fellow first-year players Deanna Brandstetter (Newport, Vt./North Country) and Annette Kaminski (Southington, Conn./Southington) pushed their opponents at second and third singles, respectively, to a tie-breaking but both were defeated 10-4.
Johnson return home to face Thomas College on Sunday at 12:00 pm in another NEAC match.
