The Badgers started off their season with a hard fought loss to the Spartans on the campus of Castleton University. Johnson won 3 sets out of 9 on the day.
Leading the way for Johnson was Katherina VonWoerkom who won her singles sets 6-1, 6-2, along with Jana Somero who won her singles sets 6-0.6-1. Annette Kaminski and VonWoerkom won their number one doubles match 8-3.
Johnson will be back in action Friday September 4th at Western New England.
