The Johnson State College women's tennis team powered past Lyndon State College 6-3 in an exciting conference matchTuesday at Johnson's home courts. 

Annette Kaminski and Katherina VonWoerkom took the first flight doubles match over Christina Boyce and Olivia Bernard, 8-3 while Nicole Monick and Jana Somero gained a convincing 8-1 win over Nichole Jones and Carina Alden. Greta Larson  and Alexandria Maynard  picked up a hard fough  third flight doubles victory for the Hornets 10-8 over Ashley Fogg and Kali Covell.

Johnson's Kaminski, VonWoerkom, Kali Covell, and Somero secured the victory with singles wins over Boyce, Jones, Maynard, and Bernard.

Lyndon's Alexa Richard  and Carina Alden picked up close victories over Nicole Monick, 7-6, 6-4 and Jordan Miller, 6-4, 7-5, in fifth and sixth flight singles.

The Badgers will play Lyndon again for a make-up non-conference match Thursday at the Hornets' home courts.
