
NVU-Johnson Women's Tennis over NVU-Lyndon 9-0 in NAC Tennis action.
Following a spring tennis season which saw the NVU-Johnson Badgers advance to the NAC East Division Championship the Badgers picked up where they left off in earning a 9-0 win over NVU-Lyndon. Today's match-up marked the first time the Badgers were on the courts this fall. The Badgers traveled to NVU-Lyndon for their opening match which doubled as the Badgers first NAC contest.
The Badgers Mason Lores / Rebecca Simon won 8-0 in the #1 Doubles to start off the action for the Badgers. Last spring, Lores was named to both the NAC All-Conference Singles Team as well as the Sportsmanship Team. Lores doubles partner Simon also serves as the NVU-Johnson SAAC President NVU-Johnson SAAC Website. The Badgers #2 Doubles team of Kayla Knight / Metea Smith won 8-1 over Renee Chaples / Devon Kibby. This is Knight's second season with the Badgers tennis program and her doubles partner Smith is a freshman playing in her first match of her college career. In the #3 Doubles the Badgers completed the opening sweep as newcomers to the tennis team Faith Mead Amanda Rosablo bested Hailey Demers Lexi Foley 8-3.
The Badgers contined to take matches from the Hornets earns all 6 wins in singles play.
In the #1 Singles Mason Lores (6-2, 6-2) over Aleena Porter, followed by #2 Singles Rebecca Simon's over Rebekka Delgado (6-1, 6-3). Kayla Knight, Metea Smith and Faith Mead all took their matches. The final Singles of the afternoon saw Amanda Rosalbo earning a win over Emma Powers.
The Badgers return to action this Monday as the Badgers travel to Castleton University for a 4:00pm match.
