Badgers over Lyndon 8-1 in home Tennis action

With little down time the Badgers Women's tennis team took the court as they welcomed NVU-Lyndon for an afternoon of NCAA Tennis.

The action started off with the Badgers controlling all three doubles to pick up the opening 3 points.  #1 Doubles team of Mason Lores (NAC Player of the Week) and Rebecca Simon made quick work in an 8-1 victory.  This was followed by 8-1 wins in the #2 and #3 doubles.

As the singles action began Lores continued her dominance with another 6-0, 6-1 win.  Lores, who also is the setter on the Badgers volleyball team had an impressive afternoon for the Badgers. 

Lores picked up 4 victories on the day, 1 for tennis single win, 1 for tennis double win, 1 for Tennis team win and again 1 that evening as the Badgers Volleyball team out lasted the Plattsburgh Cardinals for a 3-2 win.  This coming off of being named NAC Tennis Player of the Week Lores continues to help her teams secure hard fought victories.

Simon, in the #2 single picked up her 3rd win of the season winning in sets of 6-0, 6-1 over Becka Delgado.

In the #3 singles Kayle Knight also continued her win streak to 3 matches as she overtook Devon Kirby by a score of 6-0, 6-1.

Matea Smith and Faith Mead also picked up their 2nd wins of the season today in singles action.  Smith over Renee Chaples 6-1, 6-1 and Mead secured the win by going 6-0, 6-3 to hold on for the victory.

In the final singles of the night, Badger Amanda Rosalbo fell short to Haily Demars in a proset 8-5.

When the matches were tallied the Badgers were ahead 8-1 for their 2nd victory of the season.

The Badgers return to action Home on Thursday 9/24/21 as they host Plymouth State University.
