Thank You Triathlon for your hard work

Thank You Triathlon for your hard work

The Triathlon team particpants were Emily Crippen and Kaitlyn Stone and they worked incredibly hard and did incredibly well. All with little plublicity as they couldn't compete and show all their hard work in front of a home court crowd. That didn't deter them though they went to practice everyday worked hard and completed and placed very well in one of the hardest challenges of athletism the Triathlon. Needing incredible cardio, athleticism, and overall strength to swim, bike, and run for miles racing hundreds of other people at the same time is no easy feat. Being able to complete a triathlon is an accomplishment in of its self.

The first Triathlon was the Lake George Sprint Triathlon at Lake George Battleground State Campground where they showed up at 6:30 AM to compete. Kaitlyn Stone competed in the females age 15-19 and placed 4th in the division with a final time of 1 hour 43 minutes and 55 seconds. Emily Crippen competed in the females age 20-24 division and placed 3rd with a final time of 1 hour 36 minutes and 20 seconds.

The Second Triathlon was the Wallis Sands Sprint Triathlon at Wallis Sands State Park where they showed up at 7 AM to compete. There were a total of 181 competitors there and Kaitlyn Stone placed 71st out of the 181 overall but placed 4th again in her divison with a final time of 1 hour 28 minutes and 31 seconds. Emily Crippen placed 81st out of the 181 but placed 2nd in her divsion with a final time of 1 hour 29 minutes and 44 seconds

The third and final Triathlon they competed in was the 2022 Alpha Win Saugerties Triathlon they were there and ready to compete at 7 AM as well. There was a total of 47 competitors. Kaitlyn Stone placed 19th overall, 7th out of the all the females, and 2nd in her divison with a final time of 1 hour 31 minutes and 21 seconds. Emily Crippen placed 13th overall, 4th out of all the females, and managed to grab gold in her divison placing first with a final time of 1 hour 27 minutes and 49 seconds.

Because of the lack of numbers Triathlon had with only two racers Emily Crippen and Kaitlyn Stone weren't allowed to compete in the regionals race but we know that they would of made us proud if given the chance.

Both Emily Crippen and Kaitlyn Stone worked very hard and the results they were able to earn shows that fact. They haven't gotten the recongition they deserve so if you see them tell them congratulations on their success and hard work as they've earned it. We are very proud of them and are excited for the future of the program and their success.

GO BADGERS!
