JOHNSON, Vt. – On Senior Day the Johnson State women's volleyball team completed their 2011 schedule with a 3-0 (25-11, 25-18, 25-11) win over visiting Paul Smith's College on Sunday at Carter Gymnasium. The Badgers finish with a 4-15 overall record, 1-6 North Atlantic Conference (NAC). The Bobcats slip to 2-20 overall.
Johnson was led by the
efforts of senior Alex
Benlock (West Haven, Conn./Lyman
Hall)who finished with seven
kills, four service aces, and four digs while junior
Kylie
VanEtten (Montrose, Penn./Montrose)piled up nine service
aces, nine assists, and six digs. Junior Molly
Grover (Cumberland, Maine/Cheverus)had four kills, eight
digs, and a pair of service aces.
PSC saw Maxine Johnson (Fort Plain,
N.Y.)pick up 11 digs
and Carly Bramer (Amsterdam,
N.Y.)had four assists and eight
digs.
Four Johnson seniors were
recognized before the match in Benlock, Beth
Lilligreen (North Kingstown, R.I./North
Kingstown), Michelle
Moreau (Jeffersonville,
Vt./Lamoille), and Jessica
Pafumi (Monson, Mass./Monson).
