Despite Battle, Badgers Drop Two Matches 3-0

Johnson State dropped a pair of matches to host SUNY Canton (3-0) and Paul Smith's College (3-0) Saturday afternoon at the Roos' House. Canton rolled past the Badgers 25-6, 25-10, 25-14 while the Bobcats took the sets 25-4, 25-7, 25-13.

SUNY Canton 3, Johnson 0

The Roos were successful in their second match of the day handling visiting Johnson State in straight sets. The Badgers were outmatched from the start scoring just six points in the opening set loss. SUNY Canton spread the court and got everyone involved closing out the final two sets, 25-10 and 25-14.

Johnson saw two service aces from sophomore Ja'Vayla Davis.

Paul Smith's 3, Johnson 0

Paul Smith;s used a balanced attack to best the Badgers 3-0. The Bobcats were lead by Laine Sullivan with a team high 10 service aces and three kills.

The Badgers received service aces from Andrea Williams and Madeline Pritchard.

Johnson will host Lyndon State on September 19th for a 7pm contest.
