The visiting  Mitchell College women's volleyball team downed Johnson State College 3-0 at Carter Gymnasium in a tri-match on Sunday afternoon. The Mariners powered their way to a victory after beating the Badgers in three straight sets by the scores of 25-16, 25-22, and 25-11. With the loss Johnson slips to 0-17, 0-2 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) on the season while Mitchell advances to 6-11, 1-3 New Englad Collegiate Congerence(NECC).

Mitchell cruised past the home squad defeating them in three straight sets. Gloria Charles paced the Mariners with 12 kills and 11 digs. In addition, Amanda Rowan provided nine kills and eight digs in the potent Mariner offensive attack.

For Johnson, Andrea Williams posted four kills, eight digs, and four service aces in the defeat.

Johnson will return to action on Wednesday, October 16th when they travel to Lyndon State College for a conference tilt beginning at 7:00 PM. Mitchell College returns to action Tuesday, October 15th when they travel to Holyoke Community College, where they will square off in a conference duel with Bay Path.
