The Badgers tallied a win and a loss to open their season claiming a 3-1 victory over Paul Smith's and dropping a 3-0 decision to SUNY Plattsburgh. The Badgers are 1-1 on the season.

The Badgers were successful in their first match of the day handling Paul Smith's in fourth sets. The Badgers and Bobcats rallied back and forth, but ultimately, Paul Smith's was outmatched. Johnson State spread the court and got everyone involved closing out the final two sets, 25-16 and 25-22.
Johnson's serving was hot seeing four service aces from Breanna Laughlin. Andrea Williams showed up big for the Badgers defensively, posting five solo blocks.

SUNY Plattsburgh used a balanced attack to best the Badgers 3-0. The Cardinals were led by Emily Miller who tallied 10 kills and one block assist.
The Badgers received service aces from Williams and Kelsey Taylor.
Johnson will travel to Lyndon State on September 3rd for a 7pm contest.
