The Eastern Conn. St. women's volleyball team took a 3-0 victory over Johnson State Friday night to kick off the two day Hildebrandt Memorial Invitational hosted by Newbury College. The Badgers stand 1-3 on the season.

Eastern Conn. break open the first set after the first five points. The Badgers were able to rally to twelve, but were stopped by Eastern Conn. and held for the rest of the set. Johnson St. met the same fate in the next two sets only putting up 19 total points.
Johnson's outside hitter, Breanna Laughlin tallied two kills and one block assist.
Johnson will face Suffolk tomorrow for a 1:00 pm match up before squaring up against tournament hosts, Newbury College at 3:00 pm.
