The Badgers dropped two matches on the second day of the David Hildebrandt Memorial Invitational hosted by Newbury College. The Badgers posted an 0-3 score against both Suffolk and Newbury. After a strong start, the Badgers slide to 1-5 overall.

Despite their attempts, the Badgers couldn't put the ball away as convincingly as Suffolk. Johnson's Breanna Laughlin did notch five kills while her sophomore teammate Sarah Voorhis put away three. The Badgers also served up nine aces, four of which came from sophomore Domonique Carter-Stanley.

Newbury's offense was led by Courtney Banks and Heather Parish who racked up 18 kills and 29 service aces respectively.
The Badgers received six kills from Laughlin, five from Andrea Williams and four from Carter-Stanley who also served up another five aces for her team.
Johnson will use the week to prepare for its tournament at SUNY Canton next Saturday, the 13th. The Badgers will face Utica in the first of two matches at 1:00pm.
