The Badgers dropped two matches against Utica and SUNY Canton in Canton's annual tournament Saturday afternoon. The Badgers are 1-7 on the season.

In their match against Utica, the Badgers were able to notch 16 kills, eight of which came from sophomore Breanna Laughlin. The Badgers and Pioneers rallied back and forth, but ultimately, Johnson was outmatched. Utica closed the match in three sets.

SUNY Canton used a balanced attack to best the Badgers 3-0. Despite the loss, the Badgers received another five kills from Laughlin and two from Sarah Voorhis.
Johnson will use the week to gear up for a home tri-match on Sunday, September 21st when it hosts Me.-Fort Kent and Paul Smith's.
