Badgers Split Home Tri-Match

The Badgers tallied a win and a loss in their last regular season home match of the season. The Badgers fell 3-0 to North Atlantic Conference (NAC) rivals Lyndon St. to start the day, but rebounded with a 3-1 win over Green Mountain College. With the split, the Badgers move to 3-11 overall and 1-1 on the season.

After recognizing their team's three seniors, Sarah Ahlstrand, Madeline Pritchard and Amanda McLean, the team came out competitively against the visiting Hornets. The teams rallied back and forth giving the crowd long, excited points to cheer for. 

For the Hornets, Gwyneth Stahl led the way offensively posting six kills. Ashley Barski, Kelleigh Murtagh and Abbey Greene each contributed four kills in their winning effort. 

Johnson was led by Breanna Laughlin and Andrea Williams who notched 15 and 10 kills respectively, making up 25 of the teams 33 kills overall. 

Despite the great back and forth, Lyndon ultimately overpowered the Badgers walking off with the 3-0 victory.

Green Mountain brought another fantastic, competitive match to Johnson's home court. The Eagles were led by Hayley Provost, who dished out eight kills on the day. 

Provost was no match though for the Laughlin, Williams duo who racked up another 28 kills between the two overall. Johnson also saw five service aces from Anna Bingham

Johnson will travel to Salem St. next weekend to compete against Salem and Pine Manor in a non conference tri-match.
