Badgers Earn First Win in Split at Tournament

The Wildcats of Bay Path University hosted their first tri-match of the 2015 women's volleyball season at Holyoke Community College. The Badgers split the day and improved their record to 1-2 on the season.

In the Badgers' first match of the day, Johnson prevailed in a five game duel defeating the Gators 3-2.  Johnson State was led by junior outside hitter Breanna Laughlin with 18 kills and a .293 attack percentage.  Laughlin tallied a double-double with 12 digs. Junior defensive specialist Heather White with 18 digs while the freshman setter Emily Peterson had 24 sets.

Pine Manor was led by freshman outside hitter Jenna Hall with 14 kills.

The hosts took their second win of the day downing Johnson State 3-0. Vallee led with nine kills and nine digs, while Haylette had six kills for the match. Pham added five kills. Freshman setter Lexi Cears totaled 22 assists.

The Laughlin had seven kills and 11 digs.

The Badgers will travel to SUNY Potsdam for a two-day tournament where they will play SUNY Canton, SUNY Postdam and Utica College.
