Johnson Drops NAC Tri-Match to Husson and UMPI

LYNDONVILLE, VT. – The Johnson State College volleyball team fell to Husson and UMPI in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) tri-match on Saturday at Lyndon State College.

The Badgers record falls to 2-19 on the season and 1-5 in the NAC.

MATCH 1 vs. Husson

The Badgers went down in the first set, 25-15. The Eagles kept rolling in the second set, winning 25-6. Johnson was unable to force a fourth set, and fell 25-11 in the third.

STATS LEADERS

Breanna Laughlin (San Jacinto, Calif.) led Johnson with eight kills and added ten digs. Laurel Hubbert-Severance (Hinesburg, Vt.) paced the squad with eleven assists.

MATCH 2 vs. UMPI

The Badgers dropped the first set of the match 25-14. In the second set, the Owls kept control and once again won 25-14. Johnson was stronger in the third, but ultimately lost 25-17.

STATS LEADERS

Laughlin led the Badgers again with sixteen kills to go along with fifteen digs. Kimberly Reville (Burke, N.Y.) added nine kills and 11 digs for the Badgers

The Badgers play in their final two regular season matches of the season on Saturday, October 22nd in NAC matches against Castleton and Green Mountain, at Green Mountain.
