JOHNSON, Vt. – The Northern Vermont University- Johnson volleyball team fell to MCLA 3-0 in a non-conference match on Friday night in their season opener.

SET 1

The Badgers started out strong, keeping the score 8-6 midway through the set. They were unable to hold off the attack from the opposition and fell 25-8.

SET 2

The Badgers kept it close in the second set, trading points with MCLA until finally falling 25-20.

SET 3

Johnson battled from the start, staying in the lead for the majority of the set. The Badgers had a three-point lead before MCLA crept back and took the set 26-24.

STATS LEADERS

Kimberly Reville (Burke, N.Y.) had five kills while Nikola Knapova (Presov, Slovakia) added four more.

Johnson will travel to Bennington, Vt. to take on Norwich University and Southern Vermont College in the Vermont Volleyball Classic on Sunday September 2^nd at 2:00pm and 4:00pm.
