Kylie Berry Commits to Women's Volleyball for 2020 Season

JOHNSON, Vt.-The Northern Vermont University-Johnson women's volleyball program and Head Coach Keven John recently announced the commitment from Kylie Berry for the upcoming 2020 season.

Berry a native of Colorado Springs, Colorado has signed the necessary paperwork and committed to Northern Vermont University-Johnson for the fall of 2020. Berry, a former student-athlete at Liberty High School will transfer to NVU-Johnson from Pikes Peak Community College. When arrived at NVU-Johnson Berry plans to pursue a degree in Health Science.

Over the course of 4 years, Berry competed for two clubs in Colorado Springs.  She was a three-year member with Hotshotz Volleyball Club and played one year with 30Squared Volleyball Club. Berry was named team captain prior to her Sophomore season and held the role throughout her Junior and Senior seasons.

"I chose NVU-Johnson because of the opportunity for personalized learning.  I also chose NVU-Johnson because I have the opportunity to play volleyball while continuing my education. I am super excited to play for Coach John. Coach is willing to go to battle for those around him and I am excited to go to battle for him and my teammates out on the court," said Berry.

The 5'10 middle will make an immediate impact for the Badgers this upcoming season. Her experience and leadership will benefit the Badgers. "Kylie coming in will help add some experience and leadership to our young team," Said John. "I am excited she will be part of our upcoming successful season."

Berry is excited for the opportunity to join the NVU-Johnson community and be involved with the Badger athletic family and women's volleyball program. "I am incredibly excited to join the Badger athletic family. Every interaction I have had has been welcoming and everyone has such positive vibes about them. I am extremely thankful for this opportunity."

The Northern Vermont University-Johnson women's volleyball program and Coach John plan to announce additional commitments in the upcoming weeks.
