Women's Volleyball Earns Commitment from Christina Betham

JOHNSON, Vt.-The Northern Vermont University-Johnson women's volleyball program and Head Coach Keven John have tabbed an additional commitment for the 2020 season. 

Christina Betham a native of 'Aiea, Hawaii has signed the necessary paperwork and has committed to Northern Vermont University-Johnson for the fall of 2020. Betham recently finished her interscholastic playing career at "Aiea High School. Betham's will transfer to NVU-Johnson from Eastern Wyoming College where she appeared in 31 matches for the Lancers. During the 2019 season the 6 foot tall Betham recorded 195 kills as an outside hitter. When arrived at NVU-Johnson Betham plans to pursue a degree in Health or Social Psychology.

"I chose NVU-Johnson because I have always wanted to explore different areas of the country." Said Betham. "If there is anywhere that is really different than Hawaii, it would be Vermont." Throughout the recruiting process with Coach John, Betham believes that she has the opportunity and resources necessary to excel both academically and athletically. 

"From the few talks that I have had with Coach John I learned early that he's determined for success.  I am really excited to join the women's volleyball program and believe Coach John truthfully cares about the success of his players on and off the playing surface."

With the additional commitment of Christina Betham, the Badgers look to make an impact in the North Atlantic Conference when conference action resumes. 

Head Coach Keven John plans to announce additional commitments for the 2020 season in the near future and has been actively recruiting the class of 2021.
