Season opener for the Badgers Women's Volleyball team

 

Elms Cruz Diaz had six kills in the first set to lead Elms to a 25-16 win in set one. The Blazers broke open a close set, scoring five straight points following a kill by Jensen. Three straight errors, including a service error set up a clinching kill by Christie.

Elms cruised to an 25-10 in set two. Leading 11-4 the Blazers took advantage of Badger miscues to build a 21-9 lead. A service error and three straight attack errors by Northern Vermont-Johnson gave the Blazers a 15-point win. Elms hit .444 during the set, which included three straight service aces by Ramos Figueroa.

Elms committed just one error in the final set to complete the sweep. 

Ramos Figueroa had six aces in the match and 12 digs for Elms. Cruz Diaz finished with 13 kills and five digs. Rosado tallied 22 assists while Christie added nine digs.

Chavez (Fullerton, Calif.) and Christina Betham (Aiea, Hawaii) led the Badgers with six kills each. Kylie Berry (Colorado Springs, Colo.) had a team-high 10 assists. Chavez and Jimmi Lynn Williams (Florence, Colo.) topped Northern Vermont-Johnson with nine digs.
