Weekend Recap for Volleyball season opening at the Vermont Classic.

In their first official non-conference game of the season, the badgers took on the University of Norwich, and their formidable offenses. In an attempt to hold off the coast guards' riveting attacks, captain Jimmy Lynn dug a total of 11 attacks, with Christina Betham following closely behind with 9 digs.
The badgers put up one heck of a fight, with lead attacker Christina Betham leading with 10 kills, and Max Ludlow following with 5, however, the badgers struggled to find the groove and fell short to the coast guard in a 3-0 set match-up.

The Northern Vermont University-Johnson women's volleyball team swept Lyndon 3-0 in a non-conference matchup on Saturday afternoon.
Christina Betham and Natalia Medina led the Badgers with 6 kills each and Yatzari Allen contributed 4 kills of her own. Max Ludlow added four kills and two digs for the Badgers. The Badger's captain, Jimmi Lynn Williams led the team in digs with 5 digs.
The Badgers came out strong and ended the first set 25-9 to take an early 1-0 advantage. Johnson continued to overpower the Hornets in the second set and took a 25-3 win entering the third and final set. In the final set, the Badgers fought to overpower the Hornets, securing the win with a kill from Natalia Medina to finish the game. The badgers sealed their 3-0 sweep of Lyndon by a score of 25-7

The Northern Vermont University-Johnson women's volleyball team fell short to Castleton in a non-conference matchup on Saturday afternoon.
Christina Betham led the badgers with 27 kills resulting in 28 points overall. Max Ludlow contributed 9 kills, 6 services aces, and 18 digs. With 22 digs, Jimmi Lynn Williams pushed the team through the 5-set game.
