Natalia Medina Finalist for 2024 NAC Woman of the Year

Recent graduate, Natalia Medina, has been announced as a finalist for the 2024 Northern Atlantic Conference Woman of the Year recognition. As a four-year member of the volleyball program, Medina's impact on the university and its surrounding community spans wide, both on and off the court. The Health Sciences major made an immediate impact on the volleyball program, leading the team in blocks each year and finishing a dominating career #2 on the all-time list. Medina's commitment to the sport and deference to the role as team captain resulted in three consecutive NAC All-Sportsmanship awards.

Medina served the university community as a three-year member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee while also serving three years in the Student Government Assembly, culminating in a selection to represent both as president during the 2023-2024 academic year. Further, while not leading campus tours for the Admissions department or serving as team manager for the men's volleyball program, Medina presided over the Badgers' Strength Club which she had founded two years prior.

The NAC Woman of the Year award honors graduating student athletes who distinguished themselves throughout their collegiate careers in the areas of academic achievement, athletic excellence, service, and leadership. Medina's time on campus encompasses these values in a genuine way, representing what it means to be a Badger. The NAC Woman of the Year will be announced in early July and will be honored on her campus during the upcoming academic year.
