NVU-Johnsn Cross-Country Competes In Lobster Dash

Ogunquit Beach, ME-  The Northern Vermont-Johnsonwomen's cross-country competed in the Lobster Dash this past weekend. The Lobster Dash is a unique 5 mile race, raced entirely on the beach at low tide with the course going from Ogunquit Beach to Moody Beach.

 STANDOUT PERFORMANCES

It was a unique race for the women's side as they also had to run a total of 5 miles instead of running the traditional 5k. The women were impressive as both Emily Cass (Braintree, Vt.)  and Victoria Poquette (Williston, Vt.) also won their age divisions. Cass finished with a time of 43:35 and Poquette finished with 1:00:37.

The Lobster Dash is part of the Northern Vermont University-Johnson annual September team trip to Maine. The team trained on the beach and spent time near the ocean during the weekend.
