JOHNSON, Vt.-The Northern Vermont University-Johnson women's cross-country team competed in the Northern Vermont University-Johnson meet. The race was a 5k that was held on the Johnson rail trail on Thursday afternoon.
Lily Denmeade was the top finisher for the Badgers. Denmeade finished 2ndoverall with a time of 22:53. Emily Cass (Braintree, Vt.) was the second Badger to cross the finish line. Cass finished 4thoverall and recorded a time of 25:18. Sarah Sodaro (Monkton, Vt.) finished with a time of 26:16 and Jessica Malskis (Jay, N.Y.) finished with a time of 27:56. Jenna Knight (Springfield, Vt.) rounded out the Badgers with a time of 34:34.
The Badgers will prepare for the next week as they travel and compete in the North Atlantic Conference Championship hosted by Maine Maritime Academy on Sunday, October 28th .
