Ephs Earn Non-Conference Win Over Badgers

Junior swingman Daniel Aronowitz scored 14 points to lead the Williams Ephs (9-5) to a 79-52 victory over the Johnson State Badgers.

Johnson State jumps off to 10-5 lead behind 8 points from Badgers junior guard Benjamin Holl. Williams struggled to score in the early going, but slowly fought back to regain the lead with 10:08 remaining in the half. In the final minutes of the half, Ephs freshman guard Bobby Casey scored 8 points, including two three-pointers, to help Williams build a 38-27 halftime lead.
Casey led the Ephs at halftime with 11 points.

The Ephs had no trouble scoring in the second half, and quickly opened up a 50-32 lead, forcing Johnson State to call timeout with 14:56 remaining. The Badgers would get no closer than 13 the rest of the way, and the Ephs ran away with game. Williams head coach Kevin App was able to empty his bench with five minutes to play.
Freshmen forward Kyle Scadlock added 11 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists for Williams.

Badgers senior guard Rahim Bunch scored 15 points.

Williams next plays vs. Colby on Friday January 15th at 7:00 P.M while Johnson will host Husson University this Friday at 7:30pm.
