NAC Men's Basketball Preseason Poll Released

WATERVILLE, Maine – The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) has announced its 2017-18 Men's Basketball Preseason Poll and Johnson State College has been ranked to finish eighth in a vote conducted by the league's coaches.

Johnson (2016-17: 11-14, 8-10 NAC) will be led by third-year head coach Miles Smith Jr. Returning top-scorer Marqwon Wynn (Wilmington, Del.), along with seniors Rasul Jackson (Philadelphia, Pa.), Demetrius Slade (Washington, D.C.), Jeyquan Johnson (Harlem, N.Y.), Amari Moulton (Philadelphia, Pa.) and transfer Dawda Jallow (Allen, Texas) will all be looked on to carry the load for the Badgers. Johnson will look to improve its conference record from last season and advance to the NAC Tournament.

Defending NAC Champion Husson was picked first in the poll, earning all ten first place votes for 100 points. Colby-Sawyer was selected second with 79 points, followed by Castleton and Thomas, who tied for third with 66 points.

The Badgers open their season at home on November 15 against the College of St. Joseph.
