JOHNSON, Vt. – The Johnson State College men's basketball team fell to #8 Middlebury College 84-77 on Tuesday evening at Carter Gym.
The Badgers move to 1-2 on the season while the Panthers go to 3-0.
1st HALF
The teams traded points in the opening minutes, with the score tied at 16 at the 11:36 mark. The Panthers went on a 28-11 run to close out the half to take a 44-27 advantage into the break.
2nd HALF
The Badgers hung around in the first part of the second, preventing the Panthers from going on a run to put them away. Johnson eventually pulled the Middlebury lead down to nine with 8:50 remaining. The Panthers held off the Badger push, however, and took the 84-77 win.
