
WATERVILLE, Maine – The Johnson State College men's basketball team fell to Thomas College 76-59 in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) contest on Saturday afternoon.
The Badgers drop to 2-4 (1-2 NAC) on the season while Thomas goes to 3-3 (2-1 NAC).
1st HALF
The Badgers pressured defensively throughout the opening half, forcing 16 turnovers in the first 20 minutes. Johnson capitalized on the Thomas miscues with 14 points off turnovers to take a 33-26 lead at the break. Shakeel Irvin (Orlando, Fla.) and Jeyquan Johnson (Harlem, N.Y.) each chipped in with six points for the Badgers.
2nd HALF
The Thomas offense caught fire in the second half as they outscored the Badgers by a 50-26 margin to take the 76-59 win.
