
JOHNSON, Vt. – The Johnson State College men's basketball team fell to New England College 73-60 in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) game on Saturday afternoon at Carter Gym.
The Badgers fall to 2-7 (1-3 NAC) on the season while the Pilgrims go to 6-3 (2-1 NAC).
1st HALF
NEC started the game on a 9-0 run over the opening five minutes. The Badgers were able to keep pace through the remainder of the half, giving the Pilgrims a 38-27 lead at the intermission.
2nd HALF
The teams traded points though the first eleven minutes, with the Pilgrims holding a 54-42 lead with 8:48 left in the game. The Badgers went on a 11-3 run from that point, with a Marqwon Wynn (Wilmington, Del.) layup pulling the NEC lead down to 57-53. The Pilgrims pulled away to take the 73-60 win.
