JOHNSON, Vt. – The Johnson State College men's basketball team fell to Thomas College 81-59 in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) game on Friday night at Carter Gym.
The Badgers drop to 7-12 (4-9 NAC) on the season while the Terriers move to 10-10 (7-6 NAC).
1st HALF
The teams traded baskets in the early going, with Thomas holding a 9-8 edge four and a half minutes in. The Terriers went on an 8-2 run to take control with 13 minutes left in the half. Thomas slowly built their lead throughout the remainder of the period, with a John Morgan buzzer beating three pushing the Terrier lead to 42-29 at the break.
2nd HALF
Johnson went on a 12-6 run coming out of the intermission to cut the Thomas lead to 48-41 five minutes in. The Terriers took back control over the next five minutes, pulling their lead back to double-digits, 58-45. Thomas pulled away in the final part of the half, taking the 81-59 win.
