Badger's fall to a late Castleton push losing 72-66

In a game of two halves, the NVU Badgers jumped out to a 38-30 lead at halftime. The halftime lead was behind their usual brand of sound defense, points in the paint, and controlling the backboards. However the second half was a different story as Castleton was able to outscore NVU 42-28 in the second half leading to Castleton's sound comeback with a 72-66 win.

The stats for both teams were extremely close as our Badgers shot 46% overall from the field, 25% from the 3 point line and 68% from the free throw. Castleton shot 44% overall from the field, 21% from the 3 point line, and 69% from the free throw line.

The difference in the game was Castleton's ability late in the game to deliveron free throws and capitlized on our Badger's defensive errors.

Raymond Baka led NVU with 23 points and 9 rebounds and Yeskin Walker Williams had a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Tay Wright led four Castleton players in double figures with 16 points, followed by Justin Schearzbeck with 14, Alex Blackmore with 12, and Joe Russell with 11.

The Badgers are looking foward to bounce back against Vermont Tech with a win tomorrow (11/19)
