The No. 2 seed Johnson Badgers claimed the NAC West Championship title against No. 1 seed Delhi Broncos, 68-65, in Coach Johnson's 300th career win. The victory marks Johnson's first appearance in the NAC Championship game.
SUMMARY
After widening a their lead to a game-high 12, Johnson saw Delhi chip away at the deficit, evening the score at 32 apiece before a jump shot with 30 seconds left on the clock by Mohammed Semega brought the Badgers up 34-32 at the half. The duo of Jason Baker and Raymond Baka accounted for game highs in points (11) and rebounds (10), respectively, at the halfway point. The second half remained consistently close, with 11 lead changes and seven even scores. With just 34 seconds remaining, the two teams remained tied at 65-65, before Semega, Baka, and Baker each accounted for single free throws, bringing their final total to 68 against Delhi's 65.
